Because I am a first time mom, sometimes I stress that I look like I have it all together. I met up with a social media bestie the other day and felt the need to pack a huge homemade picnic, filled with the healthiest of foods and reusable items. Although it felt good in my heart and I knew I was doing a good thing, it felt wrong to pretend to put on this front like I had my s*** together when realistically I didn't.

Summertime is hot and realistically you are going to spend a majority of your time near water to cool the poor kids down. This is where the swim diaper comes in handy and a reusable one is perfect because you aren't paying $12 for a new package every week. If you don't have a local pool near by a great investment is a baby pool or water table. Something they can get cooled down in without the investment or safety concern of a giant pool. Invite all your baby friends over and have a blast!

I don't know about anyone else but our car gets BOILING during the day. I feel so horrible even putting her in the seat because the sun is blasting down on it. I purchased a sun shade for her window and it has been a game changer. It also keeps the sun out of her eyes while we are driving. 10/10 must have.

I keep a few sippy cups in the fridge ready to go on every adventure we take during the day. She will usually drink an entire one on each of our outings. I also take one for the car ride and one for our destination. Its perfect for her to be independent while we are out and grab it when she needs it.

Water toys are perfect for in the baby pool, at the beach or even in the car. Something as simple as cups to play in the water and practice pouring to something as intricate as little animals. Kids can always find fun in the smallest things.

Okay how cute is this dress though. Dresses are the ultimate summer must have, when its hot out and you don't want to bother with shorts and a shirt just slip on a dress over the cute reusable diaper and you are good to go.

A bubble machine or bubbles in general are perfect to keep your toddler busy for an hour (maybe a few). Bubbles are the universal children's toy and there is something about them that can occupy kids for HOURS. Get a bubble machine so you don't have to waste your time and air blowing the bubbles.
